Monterey, on July 7, 1846, when the American flag was raised over your land, you declared to the world that California belonged to the United States, becoming part of this nation chosen by God. Monterey, the forefathers of America once made a covenant with God, dedicating the nation to Him. America was destined to be a city on a hill and a light to the world, spreading the gospel of Christ to all nations. You and California are part of this sacred covenant. Though over the past two centuries people may have forgotten America’s commitment to God, He has never forgotten. His eyes remain upon you and California. God has given a new heart and a new spirit, calling you back into His covenant and restoring your divine destiny. Monterey, as the American flag once again waves over your land, you must call upon and lead the people of California to turn back to the Lord Jesus Christ, the Creator and Ruler of this land. Restore an intimate relationship with God and live out your divine purpose.
